More Important Info. . . - 2007/05/02 12:06
This info will also be mailed with your documents! Once we get them from Carnival Youu should have them about a week later...
Champions for Life Cruise Checklist
Please verify that we have your legal name spelled correctly. No nicknames please. Please notify me immediately if there is any discrepancy. U.S. Citizens will need PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP for your cruise. This may be a state issued, certified copy of your birth certificate and picture ID (like a driver’s license) or a Passport. If you are not a U.S. citizen you will need a Passport. If you are under eighteen and traveling without one, or both parents, you will need a notarized letter of permission from the absent parent. Married women need a paper trail of how your name has changed from your birth certificate to what is on your picture ID (for those of you traveling without a passport).
Be sure to complete your Fun Pass at https://funpass.carnival.com/SignIn.aspx . Completing the Fun Pass will expedite your check in at the port. The Fun Pass must be completed at least 48 hours prior to sailing. Be sure to print the Fun Pass as this serves as your “ticket” at the pier to go to the area designated for expedited check in. If you successfully complete online check-in and print your Fun Pass, you will NOT be required to complete any of the forms contained within your Cruise Documents relating to check-in.
Please have your Carnival bag tags completely filled out and attached to your luggage before you arrive at the port. (I don’t suggest putting them on before your flights as they may be torn off by careless airline baggage handlers). Remember to keep your Carnival cruise documents, your passport or birth certificate and driver’s license, all medications, valuables, cameras, money and/or credit cards, and insurance information with you at all times. When you arrive at the port there will be porters to help you with your luggage. It is customary to tip them a dollar a bag.
The official time given for boarding is 1:30pm. HOWEVER, as soon as the ship clears Customs, preboarding begins which may be as early as 12:00pm. Once you are onboard head to the Lido Deck 9 for lunch. Please come by Club Rio Lounge on the Promenade Deck (aft) between 2:00pm and 4:00pm for CFL registration.
Each stateroom on the Triumph will have a hairdryer, a phone, T.V., and a safe for your valuables and travel documents. There are no coffee makers in the staterooms, but room service is available 24 hours. Just a reminder, a 15% gratuity is added to all bar tabs and it is customary to tip for room service. Traditionally, formal nights are on the 2nd and 5th cruise nights, but watch the Carnival Capers (the daily schedule of ship activities delivered nightly to your cabin) for those dates.
For those of you who have pre purchased transfer vouchers please note they are in your cruise documents. For those of you who have reserved pre or post hotel accommodations, please note your confirmations are in your cruise documents.
The 2007 Champions for Life Cruise is just around the corner and hopefully your questions have been answered by the information in this packet. However, if you have any concerns at all please don’t hesitate to call me at (800) 555-4335 and I’ll be happy to help!
Sea you soon!!!
